Jessi Vining is a Midwife who recently graduated with a BSM from Midwives College of Utah. She has attended over 200 births in home, hospital and birth center settings. Over the course of her training she has worked with 12 different midwives in Oklahoma and Oregon and with one Obstetrician doing waterbirth in Alexandria, Egypt. This broad range of experiences has taught her how to listen to and support many different types of clients, tailoring her care to fit their individual needs and values. Jessi has specialized training in supporting survivors of trauma through the childbearing year, and has a particular passion for supporting clients who have experienced previous birth trauma. She views the childbearing year as a transformative experience, and loves supporting people as they come to know themselves more authentically through their pregnancies and births. She is intentional about supporting a client’s right to understand and make decisions which impact their family’s health. Jessi believes that one of the keys to having a good birth experience is surrounding yourself with people you trust and feel a sense of deep connection with. In her personal life, Jessi enjoys baking and reading books while her husband and daughter play video games together in the background.
