Jessi Vining, BSM, CPM, LDM
Jessi Vining has been actively involved in birth work since 2011. She is a graduate from Midwives College of Utah (2018) with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery, and is licensed to practice midwifery in the State of Oregon.
She has attended more than 250 births in home, hospital and birth center settings, and is passionate about bringing culturally competent and respectful care to clients seeking community birth options. Jessi has specialized training working with survivors of physical, sexual, emotional and/or birth trauma and has a passion for supporting people as they find empowerment and healing through their current pregnancy and parenting journey. She views the childbearing year as a transformative experience, and loves supporting people as they come to know themselves more authentically through their pregnancies and births.
Jessi also currently offers “Community Birth” childbirth education classes, as well as Fertility Awareness Education. She is our in-house Placenta Encapsulation provider.
Jessi believes that one of the key elements to having a good birth experience is surrounding yourself with people you trust and feel a sense of deep connection with. In her personal life, Jessi enjoys baking and reading books while her husband and daughter play video games together in the background.
